Melbourne Demons Trade Rumours

The Demons in the past are another club that seem to understand the principle, "you need to trade good to get good". However, this year the Demons may take a slightly different tact and trade more to fill some obvious gaps. In the past the Demons have been more "re-builders" hence traded players for picks ... However, this year I could see the Demons sitting on the opposite side of the equation.

Watch this space!! .. feel free to post your rumour below or start an individual thread for specific players.

Collingwood currently have 3 "A Grade" Players

Collingwood currently have 3 "A Grade" Players.

Everyone has been talking about Didak and Swan being Collingwood's only "A Grade" players and some people think we have none!

IMHO Prestigiacomo is also in the "A Grade" class of players...
Although Presti doesn't get the All-Australian awards or the general publicity of a star, he does do a brilliant job consistently against key forwards and rarely gets a bag kicked on him. Most powerhouse forwards (Matthew Richardson, Jonathon Brown etc) state that Presti was the best defender they have played against.

Carlton List Evaluation - 2011

I thought I would throw myself in the shoes of Brett Ratten and Wayne Hughes and make some changes to the Carlton List that are needed.:daydreaming:

If your club has any interest in the below players let me know and we'll see if we can get a trade done.

As a suggestion you may want to place yourself in the shoes of your coach/recruiting manager and come up with your own teams list management 4 next year!!!

We'll start with the worst first hey:

Retire/Sack/Delist or Trade
Hadlee, Wiggins

Not Sure List - Offer Up - If no takers Keep or Delist
Chris Johnson, Fisher, Browne, Anderson

Trade Bait / Keep
Hampson, Thornton, Jacobs, Carrazzo, Walker, Russell, Betts!!!

Curtain-raiser matches should be played before all AFL games

Curtain-raiser matches should be played before all AFL games (except finals)

The games should be either State matches (VFL/WAFL/SANFL etc), TAC cup, U18 National Carnival or Womens AFL state-of-origin (or create an actual National Womens League with major clubs producing teams) depending on which clubs are playing.

I miss the days of keeping one eye on whats happening on the field while getting a couple of frothies :)
