via The Age Sport Headlines on 11/17/11

As it turned out, ''Caddyshake'' didn't live up to its billing, although it was a Cinderella story of sorts.

Day 4 AFL Trade Week

Definitely some action at the station with the mini draft getting finalised.

GWS just racking up those picks, personally I'm not sure I like this strategy of putting all your "eggs" in one basket ... this is just not a draft to do it in. IMHO their "spin doctors" have gone on a complete power dominance trip and are not think far enough into the future ... IMHO think they are definitely pushing their window back ...

But will be interesting to see if they try and land a "big fish" prior to Monday ...

Mumford or Cox or Ryder Rucks Supercoach 2011

I've reviewed lots of SC teams and no one seems to be is picking Mumford. He isn't on Sydney's injury list and if last year is anything to go by he looks like having a great year. Okay he had an injury late last year and doesn't seem to have played any practice matches this year. Does anyone have an update of Mumford? Is he worth picking for round 1?

Cox seems to be preferred Ryder. Cox's form in the NAB certainly was impressive. However Ryder is younger and could potentially improve his average score by more than Cox this year. Any thoughts about picking Ryder over Cox?

Ok so this is a dig at mainstream media. However, in many of the articles and comments I hearing and reading ... I'm just not convinced regarding their impartial motives. Many sound like spin and BS the media is happy to put into print to gain "favours" or future exclusives.

What are your views.

Michael Barlow Injury Updates

Fremantle star Michael Barlow is still an indefinite prospect in his return from a broken leg, with the club yet to decide when he'll play again.

Barlow suffered the horrific injury midway thorough last season after a stunning debut year.

He hasn't rejoined full training and was still walking and jogging laps when the team resumed from their Christmas break today.

Fremantle sports science manager Jason Webber said the club would not rush him back becasue they were concerned about breaking him down.

Webber said the bone had healed strongly and his running ability remained strong but there was a risk of soft tissue injuries.

"Mick's on track with his recovery from the fracture. He's on target to get back next season in a good manner," he said.
"At this stage we're not putting a specific time frame on it... we're looking at managing how his leg progresses."
